nm reread.. your bio mentions 8 gigabytes but Windows indicates otherwise. Are you certain you're using a 64-bit version? If it's from Microsoft, verify if the system uses capped memory. Open Start, type "MSCONFIG" in the search bar and press Enter. A new window will appear—navigate to the boot tab at the top, then click Advanced options. In the next window, you'll see a box labeled Maximum Memory. If you type a number there, remove all digits except the value. Uncheck the box if it's selected. Click OK and apply. Restart your PC and check Windows System Information again. If it shows 16GB installed, your issue is resolved.
I think he’s experiencing a window issue where only half the RAM is being displayed...the BIOS indicates both drives are present, but the window doesn’t show them.
