System powers off during operation of MS Flight Simulator 2024
Hi, I have these details: graphics card dated February 16, 2024; power supply from January 27, 2025; motherboard from December 26, 2023. When my PC stopped working, I thought it was the SSD because it was outdated, so I swapped in a new Samsung drive but the issue kept coming up. After that, I replaced the PSU (the original was an old, low-quality Nox Hummer X750W), yet problems continued. Running OCCT showed memory errors, so I upgraded to a 32 GB Corsair Vengeance LPX kit, but it didn’t solve anything. Now I suspect the motherboard is the problem. I’ll run Prime95 and FurMark again to check temperatures, and I’ll share a screenshot of the motherboard temps and voltages soon. Please remember, my case is a 2xCorsair AF120 ELITE 120 mm+DeepCool Macube 110 with GPU fans at full speed. It’s been quite hot in Portugal lately—around 32 °C—but the issue seems to be very old. Thanks for your support! Photos from my PC are attached.
They're definitely under pressure. So likely everyone's there. Porto is really nice, by the way, sir. You've got a great sense of taste.
Mobo is the next option, yeah. Fell in love with Porto back in early 2020 when I suddenly had to replan my honeymoon to Venice on 1 week notice. Portugal was a WONDERFUL (probably better) choice. Good food, great wine, and some of the kindest people I've ever met and I come from the midwest US where we *know* kindness.
Thank you for your message! For an RMA without stock, would you prefer a refund or a repair? You mentioned concerns about mobo quality and want to avoid similar issues. I’m glad you enjoyed our visit and hope you’ll return soon and continue enjoying it. The region around Port wine production and my home offers some of the finest local cuisine, with charming roadside taverns along the national road.
If they don't have any stock, I'd ask if they have a stock of a similarly featured X570 that they'd swap it for and if not, get a refund. I personally wouldn't trust a repaired mobo. As for a return to PT, yeah, DEFINITELY. Probably for our "5th" anniversary. We got married on leap day so it'll be awhile. One of our favorite places was this little BnB in Evoramonte run by an adorable scottish couple. Great views of the olive groves and the castle. Just looked it up, it's literally called The Place at Evoramonte
The site I bought from doesn’t process returns for Gigabyte, so I must reach out to the manufacturer. Haaaa, the Gigabyte page seems unreliable and doesn’t work at all, lol. I’ve emailed PcComponents with the hope they’ll reply. If they fix it, I’ll be a bit concerned, so I’ll wait for their update. Also, the GPU overheating to 116 °C isn’t normal, right? Could this be linked to the motherboard? I just realized when I first got the GPU it wasn’t detected by the system, so I sent it back and received a replacement that functioned properly. I’ve never visited Evoramonte, but I found it looks great and I’m eager to try it someday. When I travel south, I’ll definitely stop by! Celebrating my wedding on February 29 is insane!!!!!
