Hi, here are the details you provided:

- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700X
- Cooler: DeepCool AK500S
- Motherboard: Gigabyte B550M Aorus Elite
- RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro SL (32 GB)
- GPU: MSI Radeon RX 6750 XT Mech 2X (12 GB)
- Storage: Samsung 990 Evo (1 TB, PCIe 4.0 NVMe)
- Case: DeepCool Macube 110 W
- PSU: Corsair RM850 (80 PLUS Gold)

Issue: PC shuts down instantly when launching Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, without any warnings or shutdown sequence. This happened before replacing the PSU in January 2025 and RAM in June 2025. I can play Cyberpunk 2077 at high settings and run stress tests like Prime95 or FurMark for over an hour without problems. Only MSFS causes a full crash. Need help resolving this.

Do you enjoy valorant? Or is your friend playing flight sim and had a conflict with MSFS, though they didn’t say the PC crashed entirely? The Reliability Monitor might show what’s hiding on the screen. Hope this helps until clever bugs arrive.

Join the discussions! I was assisting someone facing a comparable issue. Have you checked your Event Viewer for helpful clues? You can safely overlook the Kernel Power Critical event IDs 41 or 43, as they simply confirm the system crashed. My goal is to find @illuminatixs explaining their troubleshooting steps. A solid first move would be: Verify BIOS updates, disable any extra USB devices (preferably use a basic mouse and keyboard), run DDU and reinstall drivers.

Only single-player games are supported. The Reliability Monitor indicates that "The prior system shutdown at 22:03:48 on 16/06/2025 was unexpected."

You followed a series of troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue. First, you booted in Safe Mode with DDU to remove GPU drivers and reinstalled the newest ones from AMD's site. Then you updated the Gigabyte B550M Aorus Elite BIOS to the latest version. You performed stress tests using Prime95, FurMark, and OCCT for extended periods without any crashes or interruptions. Your performance remained stable, even under heavy load. I ran a Cyberpunk 2077 game at maximum settings without problems. The crashes only occurred with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, always ending abruptly without BSOD or warnings—just a brief shutdown event. In the Reliability Monitor and Event Viewer, the main issue was Event ID 6008, indicating a failure to power down properly. A driver load error (WUDFRd) appeared around that time, and there were Hyper-V and Secure Boot alerts, though they didn’t seem connected to the shutdown. Thanks for sharing your process!

It seems your PCs are fine. For the MS flight sim, you might need to visit their forum and share your experiences until they resolve the issue. Best of luck, and hope it works!

Thanks! Your readings seem a bit unusual—82°C max for the 6750 XT while the hotspot hits 114°C. That might indicate overheating in that area. The SSD’s 100°C is within normal range, so it’s likely just a matter of heat distribution.

Did you pause before you sent that message? Looking at the thermal pads heat spreaders on the SSDs, everyone does it once. Are you pushing it too hard? Verify the BIOS settings and voltage levels. I don’t overclock, so I’m out of my depth here—calling in clever bugs!

I only have PBO, XMP, and PCI 4.0 activated. My motherboard lacks an SSD heatsink, so adding one would be wise. Regarding the GPU, I increased the settings a bit—especially in Forza Motorsport—not for MSFS, but it hit 116°C, which is pretty hot. She’s also trying to cook some eggs.
