Hey, I see you're dealing with a huge file issue on your Mac. You've got over 300 GB taken up, leaving just about 4 GB free. It's running on macOS Sierra 10.12.1. What can you try to recover or clean up the space?

Windows users, be aware that ImageMagick might generate huge files—consider verifying the library on your private storage.

1) Discard the Mac 2) Invest in a Windows PC or a tailored setup 3) And suddenly your issue disappears!

It seems like the issue might be due to a temporary directory filling up, similar to how premiere's preview files can quickly exceed a Windows OS disk space.

Review the cache size on your Mac by visiting the provided link. Many users rely on Macs, and overall macOS offers a more intuitive experience.

I see, the window too has these problems. Clearing your temp or recycle bin helps, and sometimes a virus can cause it too.

Did you notice the "manage" option? Press it. There are utilities to organize files, and one feature will show you which items are consuming the most space.

Yes, but the non-system files are around 20 GB, and I also can't remove those system files.

I had the same issue but with the applications folder. To fix it, I ran spotlight re-index using this command: sudo mdutil -i on /. It will take some time, and there are other options you could try, but I started with this one. Everyone knows MacOS is just better than Windows, right?
