Initially I thought there were no relevant topics, but I believe there are some worth connecting. The issue is restarting the system and choosing the right boot device. I installed Windows 11 on a brand-new empty M.2 drive I recently purchased. Everything functioned properly after setup and driver installation. After rebooting, the problem arose. During installation, my old SSD was connected to the new M.2. I’m uncertain if that caused the issue, but it didn’t seem to affect normal operation. I’ve verified the boot sequence and tried booting from "Other OS" and "Windows UEFI," but nothing resolved it. I suspect there might be a simple fix I’m missing—please advise.

The motherboard type is not specified, the SSD is a solid-state drive and it is being used.

The issue you're facing probably involves the M.2 device not being recognized. Verify it's properly installed and configured as the boot drive in your BIOS settings.

The motherboard is the B550-F model from Asus. The storage drive is a new Kingston 1TB unit.

The m.2 was found in the boot sequence, yet starting from it triggers a reboot prompt asking to choose a correct boot device. It seems Windows isn’t present even though I verified via the USB connection.

No, I didn't use another M.2 before switching.

Could the bootloader have become damaged?

I connected my old 2,5" SSD during the setup of Windows 11 on a brand new M.2 drive. I don’t understand what that device is or how to resolve it. Can I simply clear everything from the new M.2 and start fresh with Windows 11 again?

You made a huge mistake with the disk partitions. It turned out to be a simple error, so I reinstalled Windows from scratch.

You can reorganize and reinstall Windows 11 on that storage just as before it arrived.
