So I noticed the blade and magic felt much more fluid right away, though it still hit 40 fps sometimes on the smallest maps. I’ll check Witcher 3’s performance today.

Modern upgrades across Intel and AMD are now fully compatible with older hardware thanks to significant generational advancements. Regardless of your choice between Intel or AMD, refreshing that outdated component is a smart move. The 5800X3D offers flexibility since it supports any DDR4 RAM as long as it connects properly, maintaining performance without major drops. My current setup stays above 2666MHz, and even at those speeds I achieve the same frame rates as at 3200MHz—thanks to a 100MB cache boost. If gaming is your main concern, the 5800X3D remains the top pick. But if other tasks matter more, the situation becomes more nuanced. Just keep in mind that all 13th-gen Intel processors and the 5800X3D generate high heat and require adequate cooling.

I believe my 360 Aio should handle cooling well. After disabling resizable bar, I didn’t face any issues with Witcher 3—no crashes or slow loading. I’ll keep waiting until the end of December; maybe prices will drop further then I decide to go ahead. Thanks to everyone!

GPU prices are expected to drop significantly, though CPU prices remain unchanged. They’re already at very low levels and will likely stay that way. The X3D won’t fall below €350 because it’s selling strongly even at €450. I did get mine for €299, but I think there was a typo—should have been €399, which changed within minutes after purchase. That’s the advantage of online shopping.

I found a Ryzen 7 5800X model priced at 250€ on Amazon. Is a 120€ upgrade worth the extra 3D features?

I activated it—delivery is set for Saturday or Monday. I'm eager to experience the enhanced version of Vr.

It would be accurate to say that 5800X3d performs at least twice as quickly as 8600k.
