Switch Cisco 2960 experiencing boot loop issue
There isn't a standard key combination for entering ROMMON mode. You may need to consult the documentation or use a specific sequence provided by the system.
Sure, I understand. My instructor suggested you might need to update the firmware using ROMMON.
It's an interesting challenge. You can upload via serial, but try the TFTPDRL first—it's much quicker.
I attempted to move the file via tftp but couldn't set up a port for connection, so I switched to using serial. I used the suggested version (c2960-lanbasek9-mz.122-55.SE12) for my device (cisco ws-c2960-24tc-s), but it didn't work. I also tried another version (c2960-lanlitek9-mz.150-2.SE4.bin), but again no success.
Do you have any thoughts on why the versions meant for the switch aren't functioning as expected?
The system displays the same "Initializing flash:" message repeatedly during the reboot process.
