This is my fist time posting on this forums so i know know much. here is my build so far. ryzen 3 3300x rx 570 4gb msi b450 tomahawk oloy 16gb 3200 cx500w psu 240gb ssd, 2tb hdd/ the problem im having is ive tried to boot my computer with the parts just plugged in like the ram, cpu, psu, gpu, ssd. and when i short the power pins the motherboard shows that the cpu has an error. also it turn off anagin if i move my screwdriver off of the power pins an dturn on again when i short it. the fans dont spin on the cpu cooler or the gpu. i think the problem is that the motherboard suppports ryzen 2000 out of the box but doesnt support ryzen 3000 without bios update. can anyone confirm if what i have said is correct. plss correct me if anything is wrong.

I don’t have a USB drive for installing the new BIOS. Is there another method besides updating during startup that you could use?

You might try the traditional method using a floppy disk, which would require a USB flash drive. Alternatively, visit a nearby computer repair shop.

I've got everything ready for today's PC setup. I'm eager to start it up without waiting weeks for a flash drive and I don't have cash on hand—my funds are safely in my mom's account. I also have a few flash drives scattered around, but I'm not sure where they are.

Your latest setup faced an issue where the system would fail to boot due to a CPU error on the motherboard. The problem stemmed from improperly placing the M.2 drive in the top slot, which is linked to the CPU.

I took my sister's USB drive and reformatted it, added the BIOS, but flashing the BIOS is causing issues now. I'm unsure which USB port next to the flash button is correct for inserting the drive. Also, the motherboard model is an MSI B450 Tomahawk.

The IO shield indicates its location. It should be the lower left port, positioned two levels below the PS/2 connection.
