Support Required for Witcher 2
I kept experimenting until I discovered the most effective approach—using Yrden whenever it paid off. Usually they bypassed defenses easily, leaving little impact. The only success was lowering his damage to around 75%. Eventually I had to adjust the difficulty just for this encounter. Call me a noob or something, but I don’t mind. I enjoy Dark Souls 1 and 2, so I’m used to tough games, but this was becoming too much. Just wanted to keep going. Lol. Thanks again for all the advice and support. Need to wrap up this before Witcher 3 releases.
The question is about how long is sensible to invest in a single boss battle. Time constraints matter, especially when you're short on hours and want to make the most of your gaming sessions.
It's been a while since I achieved victory, but nothing too tough. I checked online and found some YouTube clips where others are battling him. Give them a look and see what works.
Facing Letho proved challenging using my Sword, Roll & Push strategy, also known as the Jedi Knight approach.
As discussed before, I looked into various strategies and watched YouTube tutorials, but none of them paid off. So I shifted to a simpler approach. I have to admit, on easy it was extremely simple—far too simple. It’s disappointing that there isn’t a middle option. Right now, I don’t really care. Spending three hours on one boss fight is enough for me. None of the battles in any Dark Souls game challenged me this much. You’re referring to “Aard”? Yes, I tried it too, but even when his shield was down and he was vulnerable, it didn’t deal any damage—it just sent him back a few times. That tactic only worked briefly because he always managed to counter me. Eventually, I gave it up. I managed to defeat him on easy, which means I can finally move on to the rest of the games.
Letho presented a tough challenge early on, especially on the standard difficulty. It took a while to land a few hits while his defense was weak. The main issue was being too eager—once he blocks your move, he can quickly retaliate. Hope you're having fun with W2—it's a solid game!
