I'm facing some persistent frame drops in my PC while playing games, no matter the settings. I've invested a significant amount of money and effort, but the issue remains. My hardware specs include a Ryzen 7 3700X at stock performance, an Asus Prime X570P with the latest BIOS, a Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER Gaming OC at stock speeds, Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 16GB RAM, and a Sabrent M.2 NVMe 512GB SSD. I've also tested various cases, monitors, and drivers, but the stuttering continues. It happens randomly or when specific in-game actions occur, like scoring in CSGO or explosions in Rocket League. The problem seems to appear every few times during certain menu interactions, while random stutters happen sporadically. I've checked temperatures and system monitoring tools, and everything looks normal. No obvious hardware faults have been found. I've tried different monitors, settings, and even swapped out parts to see if that helps, but nothing resolves the issue. I'm getting quite frustrated and worried about wasting money on a machine that still doesn't perform well. I've sold other components to try and isolate the problem, but without being able to replace them easily. I'm hoping someone can help identify which part is causing the issue or suggest a fix I haven't tried yet. Thank you for your assistance.

They didn<|pad|> to avoid stuttering and tearing by securing a very powerful GPU. The goal was to keep the frame rate steady at a target level—like 30, 60, 120, or 144 frames per second—so the monitor's refresh rate matched that number or a multiple. This approach generally resolved the issues before switching to gsync or freesync.

Have you turned off the Windows system sounds? (just a joke, by the way)

I've also used gsync before. It keeps occurring no matter the frame rate setting I apply.

I'm referring to general audio cues, not just notification sounds. The process requires navigating through several menus to adjust settings.

It didn<|pad|> to show no improvement from synch (unless there was an error in applying it). This suggests the issue isn’t a frame problem.

Rivatuner shows short spikes and dips in timing data, indicating it likely involves both hardware measurements and software processing.

System noises have become a recurring problem since Windows 8, leading to occasional stuttering and even crashes. Open the control panel, choose sound settings, and look for tabs such as playback, recording, and communications. Click on "Sound" and review the dropdown options. Choose "No Sounds" to try and reduce latency issues.

Hello, I see you've already tried it and restarted without success. Could you share more details about what you're working on? I'm here to help brainstorm further.

Hardware and software together make up the whole device, so I have to agree. The frame problem refers to it being more than just a lack of frames—it’s a real system concern.
