It’s common for people to claim stuttering while presenting gameplay footage that appears acceptably smooth. This is based on my experience and a lack of trust until observation. Various types of stutter exist, stemming from different causes, making visual confirmation helpful in determining the cause or narrowing possibilities. For example, recurring hitches at specific locations often indicate checkpoint saves, which can result in asset loading issues within certain game engines.

I tested Call of Duty today with ISLC, experiencing no stutters or freezes; however, there were minor frame-time spikes when accessing the death stash. This likely indicates an engine issue, as benchmark videos on Intel 8700K processors also demonstrated similar behavior. I raised this point because the 1-second stutters and freezes cannot be due to engine problems, suggesting that ISLC has resolved these issues as well. I require further testing to confirm these findings after playing for only 1.5 hours.

Here is example video in Apex without ISLC. (this was only light microstuttering, can be much pronounced)
https://plays.tv/video/5cbc8a8b9f4316d72...yzen-1700x
and here is BlackOps 4 without ISLC
https://plays.tv/video/5cbc8c678b2d0a6af...ve-stutter
Sorry in Cod is no frametime/GPU graphs, but I have checked that when stutter happens cpu is okay, but GPU goes down to 0 usage. Also I played COD more with ISLC and no problems yet.
(Video quality sucks, sorry about that)

The provided text expresses skepticism regarding claims of stutter reduction in the CoD: WWII game, particularly concerning its performance on systems like an 8700k processor. The author’s prior experience suggests that such claims are often unsupported by evidence and frequently rely on speculation. They cite a lack of demonstrable benefit based on personal gameplay observations and a general distrust of similar marketing claims related to stutter reduction technology in games.

I can provide a 10-30 minute proof if desired. With ISLC enabled, I cannot observe frame time spikes (as in my example video), but with it disabled, frame time spikes similar to the Apex video are apparent. In the COD example, there is significant freezing and this is unacceptable. I died due to this issue; it is not acceptable. If it’s not stuttering, what else is it? I believe I understand what ISLC does or doesn't do. This is not a placebo effect or imagination. Hard evidence with frame time graphs is required. Even microstutters in FPS games can ruin the experience.
