Hello everyone. I assembled a PC around eight months ago. It had a Ryzen 2700x, 1660 Ti 32 GB DDR4 RAM, Gigabyte Aorus B450 motherboard, Corsair 850W PSU, and a Vengeance LPX SSD. Everything worked smoothly until recently. While watching YouTube and downloading files, I encountered a "blue screen of death." After restarting, it would restart again and then fail to boot properly, displaying the eagle logo before looping back to the blue screen. The retailer allowed me to install Windows, but the issue persisted. I removed the battery, cleared BIOS settings, and tried single-channel RAM sticks. Disconnecting everything didn’t help. The problem continues with a blue screen even after a fresh Windows installation. What might be behind this?
The installation proceeded smoothly without encountering any BIOS issues.
I haven’t managed to do it. I used a Windows boot USB, but the BIOS setup didn’t work. After saving and exiting, the system froze on the Windows logo for a short time before showing a blue screen.
I really don’t understand how to verify it. I’m sure I know their locations, but I never learned how to interpret them.
Run the system using just one RAM stick. Test each stick separately in the machine to check for any issues.
It might indicate a malfunctioning boot drive, such as your hard disk or solid-state drive.
You might be able to check the GPU and RAM on another device by asking someone nearby to inspect them.
I agree with you. With the virus spreading, people are avoiding guests. I’m getting a new RAM module and hoping it helps. In the worst scenario, I’ll end up with more RAM than needed.
I realized that issue too, so I removed the SSD and reformatted it. Nothing is working. I keep getting a page fault error or an unhandled system thread exception.
