Storage device featuring Windows operating system
Transfer data from the 1TB HDD to an alternative storage solution (such as an external HDD). Formatted and ready to copy directly. Don’t move old files—they’re scattered and disorganized.
Make sure all crucial data is backed up, disconnect the hard drive, swap it in with an SSD, and install Windows onto that device while keeping the original HDD connected. Adjust the boot sequence in BIOS to prioritize the SSD. After connecting the old HDD, restart, format the new drive, reinstall everything, and move important files.
