whenever i attempt to download a game, it takes 1 to 3 hours for 50gb. my nic card supports 10/100/1000 but windows restricts it to 10/100. i can't adjust it. i'll share some screenshots later.

Consider switching to a different cable. If that doesn't resolve the issue, verify whether the device on the opposite end of your cable (such as the router or switch) supports gigabit or 100Mbps connections.

I've tested four different cables and now use a Cat7. I also purchased an external NIC shown in the picture. This setup works only on my PC at home, while the others have 1Gbps connections.

Verify the Ethernet port is clean and all pins are intact. Avoid CAT7 since it's not meant for RJ45 connectors. CAT5e works well for Gigabit, CAT6A is better if you need extra capacity. Have you tested another router port that supports Gigabit?

I changed the router settings to give higher priority without any adjustments. I think the issue might be related to Windows itself, but I’ll verify if the port is clean before trying again.

It might mean your router is capped at 100Mbps. If it doesn’t negotiate, it will stay at that speed. Which router are you connecting to? Are there any routers or switches in the line? Could there be additional cables like house CAT lines along the path?

the hub connects all the ethernet cables, and swapping them doesn't affect anything.

I don't have access to the specific details about the switch/hub model. Could you provide more information or check the documentation?
