There isn't any problem, just some people think they are revolutionists while typing and crying about bad epic.

because there's literally nothing I have to gain through the epic game store existing. it's just another shitty installer/spyware i have to install. I'll just stick with pirating games on that terrible platform if i want to play them.

It seems you can see similar reviews as they are today.
Over 80% of the comments appear to come from individuals with some common traits:
A : spent nearly three hours playing
B : likely not
English native
C : rely mainly on negative feedback from others
D : unaware of the variety in PC gaming
E : struggle to distinguish between personal dislike and unbiased views
F : desire to be heard (this is natural human behavior)

Everyone enjoys Steam because it's a highly feature-packed platform we've relied on for years. GoG also attracts users with its numerous features and distinct benefits. Epic Store, in contrast, is a minimalistic Chinese software distributor offering almost nothing useful, like reviews or statistics. Additionally, Epic imposes time-limited exclusivity on certain PC games by offering substantial incentives to developers, which pushes users to rely on the less appealing Epic Store to access those titles. The situation is further complicated by Epic's acquisition of crowdfunded projects and games previously listed on Steam, a practice that frustrates many players.

I'd like to have Steam offering offline launchers for their titles. I would pay for everything on GOG if internet access were unreliable, since losing my Steam and Uplay libraries would mean losing all my games. This is similar to what happened with DVDs a long time ago—when I bought a legal copy, I was hit with multiple unskippable ads reminding me not to pirate, along with unrelated trailers for films I already ignored. It feels like the distributor assumes I'm waiting to steal their products and is actually supporting piracy.

Now I just want another restrictive launcher option, which I’m already forced to use despite my frustration. Steam has its problems, but it at least informs me when a game I wanted to buy is available for sale. If I need to download another launcher, it won’t be the one running on an unsustainable model trying to beat the competition.
