He bought me and myself some advanced warfare for my birthday, and I’m curious why. We’ve been working to transfer the game to his SSD, but since it only has 120GB, Steam doesn’t attempt to find more files even though there’s space left—it’s because the game files are already there. I understand your problem now, and I had to move my Blops 2 install off the SSD so it can locate the existing files. To be honest, this whole thread didn’t make much sense; I just wanted to release some stress.

What you just mentioned doesn’t make sense. Are you saying you moved the files and then asked Steam to find them, but since the drive is full, the scan won’t start? Did you not install directly on the SSD via Steam? Also, it seems unnecessary to use 60GB of SSD space with Advanced Warfare—it loads almost immediately from my slow WD Green drive.

The game is placed in a different directory, but Steam isn't locating it. You have the option to choose a storage location and create additional spots.

It frustrates me when individuals shift blame and express frustration over issues they truly deserve responsibility for.

It makes sense when the issue seems like a problem with the program itself.

I noticed the files are taking up a lot of space, making it hard for anything new to appear. It seems like the issue is more about storage limits than speed. If your HDD is already noisy, maybe moving it to an SSD would help, but I understand you're only installing it because of noise. You might want to let your friend know to try running it from the HDD instead.

I really get what you mean, and that’s likely the main reason I didn’t stick with Steam. There’s no way around it—just like I know now—I only moved a smaller game in and out before switching to the bigger one.

The sole game that truly justifies installing on an SSD is Battlefield.
