They offer a way to find files, though there isn’t a specific setting for it. It checks for free space without confirming whether the files are already stored. That’s something I’m not used to handling often.

People this is a legitimate issue with moving games on steam. What he is saying is once he moved it to his ssd the steam install wont start because it reads the drive does not have room for the full game when it's already on the drive completely. I don't see how that wouldn't bother any of you. That means he either has to free up space or download the game directly to the drive instead of moving it. That is crappy.

The concern centers on the idea that upgrading storage size doesn’t necessarily improve in-game speed.

Never experienced problems relocating games... unsure about your concern, I frequently transfer games. During installation, you can also set it on a different drive. You might also want to try the Steam Mover tool at http://www.traynier.com/software/steammover - it could be a suitable option for you.

The game was already installed on the SSD, yet Steam couldn't start it, reporting an unspecified error. The fast loading speeds mean the SSD actually provides no noticeable performance boost over other drives in any title.
