I remember when I enabled mobile authentication and tried to trade skins worth $1, but it took 72 hours because someone else was involved. It felt similar to a $50+ trade, but not for $1.

My Steam account was being compromised, receiving emails from Steam warning about unauthorized login attempts from unfamiliar locations. They assigned me a Russian IP address. After changing my password and enabling mobile authentication, I faced an issue during a CS:GO session with friends. During the sixth match, everyone lost connection. An hour later, my phone displayed a message requesting the mobile authenticator code. Recognizing it as the same player from Romania, I used the setup to avoid losing progress. I reported the incident to Steam, and after a few days, the account was banned. It’s reassuring to have recovered my accounts three times so far.

You need to do some questionable actions to gain access. I've never been hacked before, and my CS GO inventory was worth more than $2,000 at once. If you're interested, make it optional—just skip trades and market stuff. Block Steam support and send a clear warning: they won't be able to use mobile authentication. I'd prefer not to use Steam support just to avoid that.

Use the app directly. It's not a major issue.

It's slow—loading on my phone usually takes around 15 minutes, but mine was 15 minutes and 34 seconds. I had to refresh it 7 times.
