Might be the servers you're connected to being slow at the moment, look up on settings and see if you're capped to a certain download speed. Could be one out of multiple reasons causing this.

Are you making a fair comparison? One byte contains 8 bits, meaning a Giga bit connection (1000 Mb/s) can deliver roughly 120 MB/s. Remember, the case matters!
