Well, it's been an interesting ride, though unless things change, I could be asking for a refund. https://steamcommunity.com/games/553850/...9806518742 Meanwhile, Sony’s own notes contradict that: https://www.playstation.com/en-us/suppor...ign-in-pc/ There are many areas where Helldivers thrives but PSN doesn’t let players create accounts there—especially in places like the Philippines—and the game remains inaccessible until Sony either reverses its stance or resolves the regional issues. This situation also stems from several data breaches Sony has faced across its platforms, raising concerns about network reliability. Steam reviews have been poor: Arrowhead noted that Sony’s information is unclear: IGN covered the aftermath: https://www.ign.com/articles/sony-is-for...oud-expect

It was quite engaging to observe. In places without PSN, I feel a bit guilty, though I see it’s easy enough to say you’re in another country and sign up. For those with PSN access, it seems ridiculous how much pressure people put on things. It usually takes about five minutes to fix this and get back into gaming. Do people really have more stressful or demanding lives that they’d rather skip a fun game for? Shoot, I have real-life matters I care about—this is just a video game. I can’t imagine not wanting to spend time on something enjoyable instead of dealing with minor login issues.

Looks like many are concerned about Sony's handling of user data and past security incidents. There seems to be doubt about any sensitive information being exposed just through signing up and linking to Steam.

It seems the confusion stems from mixing different projects and companies. Sony isn't directly involved in the Helldivers development team. The frustration likely comes from misunderstanding who's behind the changes or feeling overlooked by the devs.

It could totally damage the game's image or CODEX might release a no-PSN update a day early. Likely both outcomes are possible.

Most players don’t focus on logic; they just dive into games and criticize them without any real thought.

Keeping it light: Creating a PSN profile in various locations often means you must possess a PlayStation that costs $40, while the PC version demands a $500 machine you can’t even run the game on.

Playstation appears to be taking quite controversial decisions recently, especially when compared to altering Stellar Blade for US distribution.
