VirtualBox offers seamless mode and VMware's Unity mode, both functioning within virtual machines instead of executing standalone applications.

Try to skip virtual machines whenever possible. Since I don’t need Windows inside Windows, consider alternatives.

For example, on OSX you could move a program to another area (their virtual desktops) and assign it there, so it opens automatically when needed. I’d like to achieve the same in Windows 10 using its virtual desktops feature.
