Star Wars Battlefront delivered an exceptional experience.
Star Wars Battlefront delivered an exceptional experience.
I understand. Battlefront differs from Battlefield in many ways. Apart from using the same engine and being a shooting game.
Yeah the jump pack was nice. As for nothing being overpowered. The DL44 (instantly unlocked for premium edition owners) is very powerful. And then there's all the "cheese"
It doesn't matter. Earlier titles came before this one, and it's just the third in the series—not a fresh start. Moreover, TotalBiscuit would not agree with the notion that adding a Star Wars theme to a Battlefield game is a good idea. Major overhauls don’t alter the original branding. If it’s called Call of Duty, it remains officially Call of Duty under law.
This version presents a different take on what defines a battlefront. It highlights how Battlefront (1) and its 2nd with swappable 3rd/1st person options create balanced play, offering equal opportunities for all players in matches ranging from 32x32 to 64x64 (with a cap at 128). The game emphasizes diverse maps, mod support for PC, AI handling empty slots during online and single-player sessions, and varied vehicle types—aircraft on certain maps, ground vehicles on larger ones. It compares the gameplay to Battlefield, noting similarities in modes like conquest, CtF, KotH, TDM, and FFA, while acknowledging differences. The overall impression leans toward a strong matchmaking experience and engaging content, earning a solid 8.5/10 for its core elements.
I believe it's fine now, but the content could be better. The weapons feel very relaxed (like a beginner homing rocket), which is nice. If you want a tougher shooter, try Arma 3 or Battlefield 4. Between Fallout 4 and Battlefield, I've mostly played Battlefield.
I understand your perspective. However, once you arrive at the battlefield, my view changes completely. Simply pointing out a few features won't show similarity; they don't align properly. Let's pause for a second. Vehicles in BF4 and SWBF are so different that it's hard to see any connection. Customization options feel like a superficial change rather than a true reskin. The player counts also vary significantly—64 in BF4 versus 40 in SWBF. Game modes differ too, with no demolition mechanics in SWBF. Squad coordination is missing entirely here. DLCs add value, but free content alone isn't enough to fix the core issues. As for the exclusive items, they're generally accessible without extra steps. Battle logs confirm this shift in tone. Server browsers aren't necessary; I'm prepared to dismiss your argument outright. You seem misunderstood, and some of your views might not reflect the actual experience.
It really depends on what you prefer, but what bothers me is the direction the design took. The choices made because of that casual vibe are the issue. I’m confused about why they felt a game needed to be simplified so much. It doesn’t have to be that way—think about how Blizzard balances accessibility and challenge in their titles. That approach isn’t fair or realistic.
