Star Wars Battlefront Beta performance details! (My test results.)
I ran a benchmark for Battlefront yesterday and found it to be excellent with optimization. I'm using the newest 358.50 Nvidia driver specs: GTX 770 2GB, i5 4690K, 8GB RAM, Corsair Vengeance Pro 2133Mhz. This setup should help you understand performance in GTX 970/960/760 configurations. I suggest using FXAA and reducing post-processing effects to avoid noticeable stuttering in the 50s or keeping effects while lowering quality.
It runs smoothly on a 970 with a 4460, delivering up to 1080p at a steady 72 FPS, consistently maintaining around 61 FPS. CPU usage sits at 65% while GPU load reaches 98%. Memory consumption is 6.5GB total and 2.5GB dedicated to video.
Achieved an average of 84 frames per second with your 970 and 3570 units fully boosted (with AA) during the Walker assault.
It's great to see another AMD Gaming Evolved release and all the Nvidia fans enjoying smooth performance and impressive visuals. The way PC gaming should be! Regarding the choice, the map appears very appealing even at 1080p resolution. Your FOV might seem high unless your screen is positioned close to your eyes. Or perhaps you prefer that setting for better multiplayer advantage? I think it could work well on a very large display.
