That makes sense now. Your 23-inch monitor and your distance from the screen create a fish-eye effect. Many gamers think wider field of view is better, but actually each setup has its ideal range based on size and placement. Going too wide or too narrow can cause discomfort. The display should feel like a real window into the game. For example, when you move nearer to a window, your outside view changes. Console players sitting on a couch with a smaller FOV are fine for their setup. The issue arises when developers transfer it to PC without adjusting FOV or adding a slider, since we’re closer to our screens.
It worked smoothly even on a lower-end setup with my budget configuration.
