Hey! You recently upgraded your RAM and noticed it's running at 2133mhz instead of the expected 2400mhz. Since your motherboard only supports up to 2400mhz, this could be due to BIOS restrictions or a mismatch in settings. It seems the BIOS might be locked, which is common for prebuilt systems. You might try checking the BIOS options for changes or look into third-party tools that allow manual overclocking without BIOS support. If you're comfortable, reaching out to the manufacturer's support team for your Asus G11CD-K could also help. Let me know what you find!

Enable XMP in your BIOS settings—it should be possible.

What processor is installed in the machine? Does the motherboard's firmware support XMP profiles? This feature is typically available only on processors from the seventh generation.

Someone claims these tools might function beyond the built-in system. I wouldn’t suggest using them unless absolutely necessary, as it seems unlikely they’d work. They likely have a purpose, though. They’re not linked here but can be located easily. Use only if you really need to.

I own an i7-7700 and recently updated the BIOS after installing the CPU. My BIOS options are limited, and I went through all of them without finding anything about XMP. I did locate a dedicated setting for RAM and the RAM slots, but when I tried to adjust it, I was only able to view RAM Slot A and B.

I attempted to use TaiphoonBurner but it failed due to RAM issues preventing data access. I'll proceed with RWEverything instead.

I've never tried it before, honestly—I don’t know where to start. From what I read, it looks like there were several RAM speed/voltage choices (like 2133/1.2v and 3200/1.35v). Or maybe it just displays the capabilities of the sticks? Like how TF is handy for ASUS?

The bios is secured and can't be changed without modification. You're limited to the current setup. You could try the high-frequency memory at Jedec 2667mhz on that board; anything quicker will need an OC XMP profile. Edited February 12, 2021 by ShrimpBrime Additional Comment

Amy knows how to customize the motherboard. The warranty is gone, and I’ve got the skills to install RAM, GPU, and CPU onto it.
