The system was restarted, yet nothing altered during play. Could the CPU be failing? I still hold a warranty on each component. Updated August 22, 2020 by DemonKyatto
Many users with MSI motherboards have encountered this issue recently. Try using ThrottleStop and clearing the BD PROCHOT box. The fix was immediate. If you're still facing difficulties, share some screenshots of ThrottleStop. This is the most recent individual with the identical problem.
You should keep the program running continuously so you can access games whenever needed.
I experimented with various approaches, including switching Intel Windows settings. Throttlestop performed well, but the overall computer felt slightly sluggish and unstable, with flickering issues. I contacted both Intel Turkey and MSI Turkey for assistance, but they didn’t provide a solution that addressed my needs. I also attempted a BIOS update, reset the system, and performed a clean Windows install. It seems there’s a software problem where games trigger the CPU to operate at extremely high throttle levels, attempting to reduce voltage. After using Throttlestop, I stopped because many apps—like Discord, Spotify, and games—required resetting each time they opened.
Hi!! Your capture shows good performance with CPU usage. All cores are active and maintaining their frequency. When checking speed in-game, certain cores may be paused or idle while others aren’t fully used. This could mean you’re only seeing idle cores during power-saving modes—this is typical. Up to now, I haven’t noticed any problems unless FPS drops noticeably, which you haven’t mentioned. What other concerns do you have besides seeing idle cores?
