Sometimes things go wrong in games or on my computer. I have tried almost every fix?
Hey guys, I've been having trouble with stuttering games like FFXIV and Tarkov , and I'm really stuck. I tried fixing it in both BIOS and Windows, even swapping out major parts. But the problem is still there. I hope someone here can help me find something I missed. I already posted this on Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/techsupport/com...top_usage/
Here are my PC specs:
CPU: Ryzen 7 9800X3D (I had the same problem with the older 9800X3D)
GPU: RTX 5080 (I upgraded from a 4070 Ti, and I get stuttering on both)
Motherboard: ASUS B650E-E (Swapped for an MSI X870 Gaming – same issue with both boards)
Cooler: NZXT Kraken 2024 (The stock cooler, not using USB or CAM features)
PSU: Corsair RX1000M RAM: G.Skill Trident Z Neo 64GB (30-40-40 EXPO) (I also tried a Corsair Dominator 64GB)
Keyboard: Wooting 80HE Mouse: Hitscan Hyperlight 1kHz Monitor: AORUS FO27Q3 360Hz OLED (DP 2.1 Cable)
Audio: GoXLR Storage: Samsung 990 Pro 2TB (I tried another 990Pro 2TB) Fan Controller: NZXT Controller

I'm not seeing major spikes in temps or usage either. Im already losing my mind. Please help.. Clip of my Stutter: https://streamable.com/6p6m26 (look at the end when im scoping)
Check Reliability History or Monitor to see if there are any error codes, warnings, or info messages right when your stutter happens.
I checked the eventViewer and Reliability History to see what was going on back when the stutter happened, but there was nothing recorded then. I'm attaching a picture here, just so you know it's in German too. https://imgur.com/a/3vUJbfr View: https://imgur.com/a/3vUJbfr
It looks like something started going wrong on day 13. Check the Windows Update history to see if any updates failed or had trouble installing. Also run the "dism" command and "sfc /scannow". Here is a link for more info on the dism tool: https://www.windowscentral.com/how-use-d...s-10-image And here is another one on using sfc to fix system files: https://www.lifewire.com/how-to-use-sfc-...es-2626161. What do you have for your hard drives? Are they the same model, how much space do they hold, and are they full of data or just empty? Also, what is their internet connection like?
Hey, i've tried this way before already. It's exactly like when i switched to AMD software. So i'm still fixing my issue since February 🙁 I only use one drive: C:\ with a 990Pro that has about 800GB used in the first slot for m.2_1.
I used to have a Viper V3 Pro back when I bought the keyboards. They were all a bit slow or stuttering before, but I haven't tried them out yet with another one. I'm taking a keyboard from my company tomorrow and will test it after that. I'll let you know how it goes later.
Does this problem happen with just these two specific games, or does it affect any game? From my personal experience, Escape from Tarkov has always had stuttering and lag issues. Other online MMOs like Final Fantasy XIV have similar problems too. Here are the troubleshooting steps: go into your BIOS and set everything back to default settings, then set your EXPO profile to its rated speeds. Disconnect any extra USB devices except for one monitor, one keyboard, and one mouse. Make sure V-Sync is turned off in the games you test with; this can cause stutters. I would also try turning off G-Sync on the monitor while testing. In the Nvidia control panel and the monitor's settings menu, make sure G-Sync/Freesync is disabled. Try a clean boot and only start or run Tarkov or FF without opening any other programs. If you no longer experience stuttering, some software conflict might be causing it. If stutters keep happening despite this, suspect either Windows services, the game itself, or the graphics driver. This seems odd, but use DDU to uninstall your sound drivers completely. Do not reinstall the sound driver before trying to see if this fixed the issue by opening up an offending game. If fixing the stuttering works after turning off the sound drivers, something from their initial install likely went wrong. Another possible problem is that the game files are on the same storage drive as the operating system. This can happen when the OS needs to write or read data while the game tries at the same time. The OS might take priority and cause delays for the game files. The only way to try this fix would be to use or buy a different good NVMe drive for the games, then uninstall and reinstall them there.
