Some odd visual issues in GTA V
These images highlight those extremely sharp, pixelated shadow edges. It might be difficult to notice at first, but pay attention and you'll see it clearly. This issue also shows up with NPC and building shadows. FXAA is off when using MSAA because it doesn't help the issue like V-sync does. When paused, focus is lost, population density is average, and variety is low. Texture, shader, shadow, reflection, water, particles, grass, and quality are all set to normal. Soft shadows are sharp, post-processing is normal, and anisropic filtering works at x16 ambient occlusion. Adjust the settings above and you should see if the problem stems from GPU limitations or another factor.
Isn't this the default level for muted lighting? If yes, that's perfect. Your shadows appear quite normal for a game running on lower configurations.
