Are you connecting an external keyboard or using the built-in one?
Which operating system are you operating on?

The Toshiba Qosmio X300 is running Windows 7. Some buttons are not functioning properly, while others work fine.

Have they ever been involved?
It seems there is a Dolby Control Center available for Windows Vista/7, located here, and you might consider reinstalling it.
