750 watts Seasonic Platinum edition. A bit too much power for your needs.
The issue remains consistent regardless of the direction of data transfer—whether moving from Ext. HDD1 to Ext. HDD2 or vice versa. It also occurs when copying from an internal drive to external drives at once, whether Internal Drive goes to Ext HDD1 and HDD2 simultaneously or separately. The problem can appear with just one drive affected, such as only Internal Drive to Ext HDD1 or only HDD2. As a side note, plugging in your keyboard and mouse into the front panel ports might trigger this behavior too.
Lack sufficient time to try things out. Testing without any external HDDs attached. The front ports aren't linked to the board—I assumed they weren't needed since there are 10 ports on the MoBo.
I aim to try this Saturday and check everything you mentioned. I’ll let you know what it means for me, not for you. It’s similar to asking if you can get into the car through the back door while someone says you need to open the front door.
I was just playing music from an external HDD and after about 10-15 minutes, the mouse began freezing. I tried removing the USB device through the taskbar but received a warning message (see image) and a Windows alert saying something like: "One of your devices is malfunctioning and Windows no longer recognizes it." After that, the mouse worked fine again, but during this incident the mouse completely froze and I had to unplug and plug it back in. The keyboard issue was similar to my first post. I’m going to try connecting the external HDD again, play music, and see how it goes. I’ll connect the HDD to the USB ports (as shown below).
You're experiencing recurring issues with your mouse while playing Bioshock. It seems the problem might be related to drivers, software conflicts, or hardware compatibility. Try using a different mouse and let me know if it resolves the issue.
