Hello, I’m looking for recommendations on remote desktop solutions. While Windows offers one, I’m curious about other options worth exploring. My goal is to use my Surface Pro 3 at home while working from Windows, accessing my Adobe Creative Cloud apps—Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, etc.—and streaming them to the Pro 3. I’d like to save space and reduce strain on the SP3. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Honestly, I don’t rely on remote desktop tools, but what I’ve heard is that Windows Remote Desktop Connection is a solid choice. It’s already set up on your system, so you don’t have to install anything extra.

Teamviewer, Windows Remote Desktop, or Splashtop are popular options. I prefer Splashtop, it works well and has a simpler setup than Teamviewer.

For viewing the computer, GoToMeeting works well, but for full control you should use the built-in Remote Desktop feature in Windows 7/8 Pro via RDP. Wyse Pocket Cloud (by Dell) performs best on Android and iOS with its Metro interface; it isn’t available for Windows Phone.

Team Viewer is the top choice. It’s available for free personal use, and you can also set it up so you can link to another computer when it’s idle.

I'll also check the second or third Teamvewier. It's very straightforward to use and works well. I haven't faced any problems with firewalls or port forwarding. The built-in Windows RDP is excellent, but you'll probably need to set up some router port forwarding and ensure proper security settings in Windows.

I recommend using Windows RDP together with a VPN. This setup works well for my daily support tasks and remote access to work systems. TeamViewer is used sometimes, but the lag is really bad and could make everything hard and annoying.

It's intriguing, I might need to give it a shot.
