I rely on Remote Desktop for my setup. It offers superior performance, especially on Windows 8 and newer versions. You can stream games over the internet through it effectively. I used it with a Surface Pro 2 featuring Wireless N, unlike the Pro 3 which uses AC power. My home connection is a standard 1 Mbps upload speed. The security of the connection is decent—it’s not completely open, but there’s a level of protection in place.

RemoteFX is pretty good, I would like to see how it stacks up against AnyDesk tho that offers a steady 60 FPS (in a local network) against the competitors.
