Absolutely, just getting the correct bios support would help. If the power brick delivers enough power, it might resolve the issue, though there could still be a bottleneck.
Although it seems funny, laptops used to be designed with shared components, like all i3, i5, and i7 models using the same motherboard, power supply, and cooling system. As long as they had an integrated GPU and supported BIOS updates, everything worked perfectly. It took some research to understand, but there was always a chance to upgrade later. Anyway, we’re moving on, and I’m in agreement. It was really tough.
I really dislike when they combine a coffee lake or a kaby lake i7 with a 1050ti or similar. It seems like I don't get it. Frame time will be awful after a while. After a few years, there'll be a bottleneck. What do these companies think? LMAO
