in iran 8mbps provides decent connectivity, 16mbps is excellent, and other providers offering higher speeds are often unreliable or misleading. even with td lte, my adsl2+ connection gives around 6mbps wirelessly from my room to my pc, and 8-10mbps via lan cable to my dad's laptop. using wireless seems necessary for better performance. your d link 2740u router appears to be functional, but consider checking its settings or contacting the provider for more accurate speeds.

Use a Wi-Fi USB module featuring a strong antenna. Or modify the router as well.

I connect to external USB for WiFi because I don’t have a built-in Wi-Fi card on my board. Other options might include using a different USB adapter, a hotspot device, or a mobile hotspot.

Sorry bro, you seem stuck at that speed unless you switch to an Ethernet cable. Wi-Fi works best only if you're close to the router.

I presume these are cardboard sections wrapped in aluminum foil.

it should work because I’m downloading a game and then watching a livestream, which means i’ll need mobile data. we have affordable packages from 2am to 7am, like 20gb monthly or 8 todos and toman for under a dollar. they’re hard to find often, but i can get them if i finish the download.

depends a lot, applying this technique can enhance your Wi-Fi signal and improve your connection to the router, though it won't necessarily increase speed if your signal was already strong. If you see just 1-2 bars when connected, it's a good idea to give it a try—it won't hurt to see what happens!

Wireless is seen as similar to a cable connection in terms of performance. Both uploading and downloading will be slower via Wi-Fi instead.

The upload remains consistent across LAN and wireless connections. Using a repeater doesn't affect the speed.
