Just skip it—there’s no need for a repeater when your signal is strong. Sadly, you’re locked in unless you switch to an Ethernet cable.

No one talking about using an outdated 2.4GHz router here. If everyone nearby is stuck with the same setup, it really isn't working well. The wide coverage of 2.4GHz combined with limited channels likely means the spectrum is heavily used. Consider swapping to a newer device that supports 5GHz, or set up an Access Point and connect it to the router for 5GHz access. If your USB adapter isn't compatible, you might need to replace it.
