Slow boot after OC?
Slow boot after OC?
Hi everyone, i recently increased my i5-3570K overclock from 3.4ghz to 4.1ghz. After an hour of p95 testing, it seems stable. However, boot time has noticeably increased, though once running, performance is great. What’s the problem?
Adjustments made: vcore from auto to 1.28V, LLC set to high, power boost from 100 to 120%, spread spectrum disabled, multiplier at 41.
System specs:
Intel i5-3570K @4.1ghz
16 GB DDR3 1333MHz
RX 480 8GB Sapphire Nitro+
Asus P9Z77 - V
PSU Cooler Master RS600 ACAB M2
It seems to be alright, it looks like. If it's stable that sounds good!
Have you already tested it, or could the issue persist after resetting the default settings?
Restored the default settings but boot remains slow. Any advice?

How much longer are we talking and where does the hangup happen? In the bios splash screen, or on the whirlydig under the windows logo. Does it continuously spin if it is windows or does it freeze.
after windows logo, i got the same screen black with the windows spinning dots (win 10) but they seem at lower resolution and less fluid, sometimes there's written please wait in a blue screen (not bsod, there are widonw's spinning dots too)
