The store listings vary a lot, and it's common to see different capacities mentioned. This inconsistency doesn’t necessarily mean they’re ignoring customers—it could just reflect differing product options. Steam’s behavior is similar, so it’s not unusual.

That's surprising they don't refresh the details then... this really influences my choices when picking or playing games, and I was quite pleased it was just 40GB, only twice the size of the last one. So, fine, that makes Steam or Epic seem pretty irrelevant to me, guess? And yes, Steam also lists a 40GB requirement.

I recall how amazed everyone was when *Star Wars: The Force Unleashed* reached around 25GB—something completely new back in 2009. Things are only expected to become even more demanding for big-game titles moving forward.

They seem to ignore updating the store page. Larger games tend to have more issues, which reflects their update quality. Unless they've added a significant amount of content, it's clear they're not improving much. ROTTR is 25GB with mods and DLC, yet Shadow still looks the same. *Kojima chuckles* [link]

It comes from Steam, holds 34.9GB, serves as the original version, not the final edition.

That's intriguing! While the sites I checked mentioned the official edition with 40GB, I thought on Steam I could pick the DLCs I wanted. However, Epic doesn't seem to offer that option there. I wish I could have chosen 65GB instead and skipped the DLC. To be honest, the demo looked much worse than the full game, which makes the size or the store description seem unreasonable. Also, I don’t see a way to remove the DLC once it’s installed.

Through the games I've installed while researching SOTTR and SP2077, it consumes 161gbs. It's time to let it go. I'm only using SOTTR for testing now and don't plan on DLCs either. I've already benched all my 9 and 10 series cards with it before selling them off, making it a clear indicator of my hardware upgrades.

lol i just checked and by my ... basic understanding... there's like 30GB "language files" in sottr... even if that isn't entirely correct since i just can guess, theres definitely a huge amount of language files, that i certainly didn't want or need. baffling. that was honestly my plan too : p but if i don't find a way to reduce the size, 65gb probably isn't worth it in the long run : /
