Oh no, the game is really bad. Everything they did in the first two parts was off, especially the pacing—it doesn’t feel like there’s any real gameplay at all. Lol, thanks again, but it’s hard to fix this. I can’t even find a way to remove anything; the game keeps crashing with errors right away, unlike on Steam where small fixes usually don’t stop it. After some digging, the extra 30GB mostly seem to be language files… that’s insane. This is probably the end of me and Epic. Sure, I could blame the developers, but after all they’re offering such a poor experience with almost no basic features.
Yeah, it's not terrible but definitely a bit lower than before. I went through RotTR first, then started SotTR about a week later. The changes are really clear. For me, SotTR climbing seems tougher, as does combat and stealth. Weapon upgrades and thinking strategies feel much less effective compared to RotTR. SotTR's story is worse too, and Lara seemed to lack growth or learning from her experiences in RotTR. Her choices, actions, and behavior often felt confusing or illogical, especially early on.
thats the thing, theres also a weird delay sometimes when picking up stuff... the camera seems also , well bad, the climbing in the previous games was fun because if you focused on it you could do everything 1st try, and if you died it really felt like you made a mistake... in this one you cant even see where you should go most of the time, so it just feels cheap and repetetive (also makes me feel the lighting is pretty bad, cant really make out climbing spots, etc…) But, really the pacing feels off, like there are way too many scripted parts where they take control from the player, so all these things together i think makes it pretty awful : p its still somehow ok, but the other 2 games were *perfect* in these aspects… its also another developer (iirc) in the third so that shouldn't be too surprising, its still quite disappointing overall, imo.
