They're looking for a top-tier alternative to Pages, Excel, or similar tools from 2013. The current version should still perform well compared to Office 2013.

Checking compatibility with Word ECT in 2013 reveals similar capabilities, though its features are quite comparable to Apple’s software. A brief search suggests it doesn’t offer significant advantages over that version.

Consider using LibreOffice or OpenOffice as an office alternative, both free options. I’ll check if they suit your requirements. Also, if you haven’t tried Microsoft Office 365 yet, see if it works on your Mac.

I've tried word, LibreOffice, and KingSoft. Every document functioned across all programs.
