XMP stands for Extreme Memory Profile, a setting that saves memory overclock profiles created by the manufacturer. Standard DDR4 memory is limited to DDR4-2133. Your package is rated for DDR4-3200 once XMP is activated. The i5-10400F and B460M models cannot be overclocked, but the i5-10400F can handle up to DDR4-2666. This isn't an overclocking level; you must adjust the BIOS to set DRAM Frequency to DDR4-2666. Otherwise, it will operate at DDR4-2133.
It seems the upgrade wasn’t worth it. If the CPU only supports 2666 MHz, adding more RAM wouldn’t help much. You might have been better off getting an additional 8 GB of 2666 MHz RAM instead.
