If your router doesn't handle 5GHz, it's likely outdated and may need an upgrade.

I'm pretty sure it works, though I'm not sure about my internet connection.

The router is compatible with 5GHz, which is sufficient. Your internet provider doesn’t influence the available frequency bands; it depends solely on the hardware you have.

I didn't realize that. How can I verify if it meets the 5GHz requirement? Also, can I connect two Wi-Fi devices—one at 5GHz and another at 2.4GHz—using the same router?

Review the WiFi configuration in the router's software. Depending on the model, two different networks may be available. Your sister uses a Google Wi-Fi mesh system, making it hard to distinguish individual networks. On your device, you have separate networks like Donut2.4 and Donut5GHz, which helps identify the active connection.

UPS isn't the problem. My router is powered through it, and everything functions properly.

I plan to eliminate the ups. Just now, about 10 seconds ago, I unplugged my iPad from its charger, which was roughly a meter away from the router, and Wi-Fi went down for two minutes. Also, regarding the SSID I sent—I’ll switch to channel 11 or 12.

I switched the channel and the Wi-Fi stayed active when I powered on the laptop. It seems like I might have resolved the issue, but I’ll respond within about 24 hours with an update.
