Installed fresh thermal paste and it improved performance. Overheating issues are resolved, CPU stays around 50–60°C and games at 65–75°C. Will check if the problem persists. Update: CPU remains cooler now but GPU spikes to 80–90°C—uncertain if the paste application was correct.
It might be due to issues with the cooler setup and increased CPU headroom, allowing the GPU to operate more efficiently. However, temperatures in the 80-90°C range are also quite high for main GPUs, especially on AMD boards, which can happen if your case or cooling isn't optimal.
The fix for the cooler is working, keeping the system around 45-50°C. Regarding adding paste to your GPU, consider it based on your specific situation.
This task is more complex and typically isn’t required for gaming graphics cars. You’ll need to purchase pads before opening a card. I don’t recommend it. My approach would be to ask a friend to lend them their graphics card so you can test it.
My GPU seems quite outdated, so repasting might offer some improvement, and it could also help remove some dust.
