taking a 750W card and swapping it for an 850W one costs $134, but if you want to add a new GPU later, you'll probably have to buy two more power units. If you decide to upgrade now, get a bigger PSU upfront instead of just upgrading the old small part slowly. This way you can handle any big graphics card coming out in five or ten years without buying another one later on.

Here are some solid choices that last forever: Montech CENTURY II 1200W 80+ Gold, Thermaltake Toughpower GF3 TT Premium 1350W 80+ Gold, ADATA XPG Core Reactor II 1200W 80+ Gold, FSP Group Hydro PTM X PRO Gen5 1200W 80+ Platinum. They all come with a ten-year warranty and build to last long too. These cost about the same as or just a bit more than the cheaper ones you're buying right now.

Don't spend $134 on swapping out parts if it's not worth it. Just keep your current PSU. It can handle an RTX 5070 Ti easily. That big card only uses up to 360W of power when plugged in, and usually only needs around 250W to 270W while gaming. Your other stuff like the rest of the system or even just your CPU doesn't need that much power (like a 13600K needs less than 100W). If you're not ready for new RAM soon, you'll be fine for another two to three years coming up.

Thanks, I can take the PSU out of my cart. I was getting it because the GPU said it needed a 750W power supply. I figured I'd need to upgrade since if that GPU needs so much power, there wouldn't be room left for the rest of the system. Since it's not necessary, I'll just take it off.
