Check K-Lite codecs in MEDIA listings, mark them, then download and install. Some apps already use built-in codecs, but for others, a codec pack is best. Drivers aren't the problem—codecs are needed to play specific video formats.

You're seeing the music icon in Windows Media Player. It's a standard feature for playing audio files.

Just confirming drivers are up to date.
I’m not responding to any repeated statements.

Without any codecs, you'll only hear audio—Windows already includes these built-in codecs. After installing the K-lite codecs, you can easily drag and drop your video into any player and it should function perfectly. Oh, come on, I guess you meant that. /When you have the Ninites file, run it.

Are you attempting to capture and test it currently?

If you need... you can upload your saved file again and it should function properly. I don’t rely on WindowsMediaPlayer; if that fails, create a thread asking "How to enable Codecs in WMP." I’ve downloaded and installed K-lite but WMP still can’t play video frames, even with codecs enabled. Someone familiar with the system might resolve this now. I mainly use WMP Classic and haven’t used WMP since Windows XP, though the steps for adding codecs are consistent.

The problem wasn't related to shadowplay; it functions properly. Video decoding failed because no decoders were present. From my perspective, a codec refers to encoding or decoding, which is now operational.
