Hello, You have two Windows installations—one on SSD and one on HDD. Can you make it so that A: both are labeled as Windows 10, and B: there’s a tray icon or desktop shortcut to switch between them without restarting and picking another version? Your setup currently shows Windows 10 volume 7 for the SSD and volume 3 for the HDD.

A: I'm not confident
B: It's because you must switch to a completely different operating system, which involves resetting all the RAM contents.

Yes, you can modify the default operating system used by Windows' boot manager and then restart the system.

Found something unusual. Not sure if it's safe or effective. It will display an icon on your desktop and let you select the reboot menu at http://neosmart.net/iReboot/

That sounds familiar! I recall this feeling from about two years ago.

@Zmax confirmed the reboot will start through a tray icon. Another utility, Neosmart, is EasyBCD which lets you modify the boot menu label.

Boot this configuration to enable adding an HDD as a bootable drive. Make sure the default wait option is unchecked and adjust your wait time accordingly. Also, note that you can include Linux in this setup.

Looking for a method to execute a script and reboot using CMD or PowerShell, similar to the reboot feature you're using.

Every interface was created using command-line instructions and scripts. You’ll need to use the boot manager executable with a spacebar or similar input to access help. It’s unclear if Microsoft ever connected this to Cortana.
