Navigate to preferences, select Downloads, then go to the content library. Click on Steam Library folders to manage and organize your games. You can add or delete Steam game locations as needed.

After setting up Steam, press the small "browse" option and select a location on your SSD. In the settings, pick the standard game directory on the 1TB hard disk.

During installation, you'll find a choice for saving the game. I use Steam Libraries on two separate drives. In Settings > Downloads, you can configure several Steam libraries there.
