Whenever you change the CPU, you must reset the CMOS. You don’t have to re-flash the BIOS if it already supports the new CPU. Actually, look up the guide for the correct CMOS reset method just in case.
I removed the battery and it didn’t work. I tried the CMOS reset option, but it still doesn’t function. The system claimed it could run an i7 2600k. Now I’m left with a completely nonworking machine.
