I'm preparing a recruitment test for an IT firm and have set up SSH. Now I need to create a virtual Ubuntu server. When accessing the console, I see a hint: the username to log in is 'Ubuntu' and I should use 'sudo' to gain root access. I'm also unsure if I should start instances or not, but I can't do that. I'm encountering errors along the way.

I'm not sure what you're asking. Are you trying to log in without knowing your credentials or want to open a graphical interface?

Register your account with the correct username and password. After that, you're ready to send commands.

Then obviously, you're using the wrong credentials. You're not allowed in if you don't know the username or password.

When you created the "Ubuntu" user, what commands did you use?

when setting up the server, no specific tools were used; it ran through an interface built on openstack.

Access is limited without the password, and gaining root privileges requires it as well.
