I shared my build plan earlier, and someone recommended changing my Ryzen 3 3300X to an i3-10100F, while another advised swapping my GTX 1650 for a GTX 1660 Super.

It's possible Intel has the edge in gaming right now... I haven't checked enough reviews yet. For better upgrade potential, AMD might be a safer bet, but Intel still shines when it comes to older systems.

Debatable. I think the 3700x is an amazing CPU for gaming. (As well as the 3600.)

We agree on the 3300. Also, remember to consider the budget since these options are around three times the cost.

That's a valid observation. Personally, I think the 3300 is sufficient, and if they planned an upgrade, sticking with AMD would be wise.
