For my initial setup I intend to use an ASRock B450M Steel Legend with my Intel I3-10100F. I have some concerns since I think I might be skipping out on higher-end boards but still getting great value. Is this board suitable for my processor, or should I look for something better at a lower cost? Thank you for any advice and opinions.
I didn't understand that. Sorry about that. Any ideas you could share would be helpful.
B450 boards are designed for 2nd, 3rd, and 5th generation AMD processors and won't fit your current CPU. For a 10th generation Intel chip, choose a Z490 board.
You must avoid pairing an Intel processor with an AMD-compatible motherboard. That setup isn't feasible. The board supports AM4, while the CPU requires a 1200 socket.
Budget and country details for Mobo are not specified in the provided context.
I'm focusing on a clear and concise approach. My goal is to understand your needs without unnecessary details. Let me know your priorities!
@Nate It's not essential unless it doesn't change the board price. @Downkey Country refers to Indonesia. Budget stands at Rp 12,000,000 (twelve million rupiah). This amount covers gaming, occasional work, video and photo editing. Project plan includes: CPU - Intel Core i3-10100F, Graphics - MSI GeForce GTX 1660 Super, RAM - Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x8 at 3200MHz, Case - Corsair Carbide 275R, Storage - ADATA XPG SX8200 PRO 512GB, Power Supply - Corsair CX550 or CV550.
